Bags of food, powdered milk, shoes, clothing, cleaning and personal hygiene kits were delivered to more than 20 families of the Embera Quera indigenous community by the team of the Ministry of Social Development (MIDES), Colón chapter.

This social tour, coordinated by the MIDES staff, the leader of the indigenous region and students from the social work area of ​​the Colón Regional University Center, was given with the objective of knowing the needs of this population in a state of vulnerability that is found located in the upper part of the Gatún River, in the town of Limón, district of Colón.

The community expressed its gratitude for the assistance received from officials, who carried out evaluations with the possibilities of including them in social programs or projects offered by the National Government through MIDES.
