From December 2 to 5, 2021, in the community of Villa Caleta, Embera Wounaan Region, the III Embera Ancestral Games will be held, where the best athletes will be selected in the discipline of bow and arrow, canoeing, swimming, spear , 10k, 100 m, rope, trunk race and demonstration disciplines such as Pilón, Ugü and Embera Wrestling. The best athletes will be representing the Embera nation of Panama in the III Indigenous Ancestral Games of Panama, which will be held from December 15 to 18, 2021, in the community of Buri (Pueblo Nuevo), Jirönday District-Ngäbe Bugle Region, very near Chiriquí Grande, Bocas del Toro.
At this event there will be Embera gastronomy, agrotourism, Embera Painting, live Embera Music with Miguel Flaco’s ensemble, and Chinango (Strong Girl) for the toast.
For the General Public, there will be water transportation from the Port of Peñita at a reasonable price, round trip.
